Background

GoFundMe, a global leader in online fundraising, operates multiple offices throughout the U.S. Their Chief Legal Officer oversees security and compliance initiatives across all locations, including physical access and video management systems. As part of their ongoing modernization efforts, GoFundMe sought to bring the San Francisco office in line with their existing Brivo and Eagle Eye environment used at their other locations.

The Challenge

GoFundMe’s San Francisco office had been operating on an isolated setup. While their access control system had successfully been migrated into their main Brivo account, the video system remained split across two Eagle Eye accounts—one dedicated to the San Francisco site and another shared by their Southern California offices.

Although this split did not limit their incident-based video retrieval, it created workflow inefficiencies and prevented the unified Brivo–Eagle Eye integration they preferred for managing door events, user activity reporting, and emergency response visibility.

During the walkthrough, additional challenges were identified:

• The need to bring three existing cameras onto a unified Eagle Eye system.
  
• The need to reroute and reset existing devices to ensure compatibility.
  
• Two existing doors required upgraded access control infrastructure to bring them up to the organization’s current standard.
  
• The office’s multi-tenant building environment required careful coordination with existing electrified locking hardware.

• The office now benefits from consolidated Brivo–Eagle Eye functionality, enabling staff to view door activity and video in one platform when needed—especially useful during emergency situations or building access events.
  
• The San Francisco location now matches GoFundMe’s broader organizational security design, ensuring consistency, ease of management, and long-term scalability.

Expansion and Continued Trust

Following the successful upgrade of GoFundMe’s San Francisco office—where Safe and Sound Security unified access control and video infrastructure under Brivo and Eagle Eye—the organization elected to expand the partnership. The quality of workmanship, clean system integration, and clear communication built enough confidence for GoFundMe to award additional projects across new locations.
